Jan 20-Feb 10 César Cabrales: “Lights, Gestures, and Other Memories.”

“Luces, gestos y otros recuerdos” es una serie que compacta y muestra en escencia mis actos creativos y su evolución en los últimos 5 años;
periodo en el que mi obra ha sufrido cambios positivos determinantes, provocados por la necesidad de encontrar un lenguaje propio, la búsqueda de la libertad de mi ser, y la confianza en mi mismo. Así comencé a explorar nuevas formas de crear de la mano del autoconocimiento, descansando por un tiempo del óleo y lo figurativo, experimentando con técnicas acrílicas y explorando la abstracción; resoluciones que me han ayudado a crecer creativamente y experimentar una libertad ilimitada sin llegar al caos, formando un lenguaje propio y peso a mi obra, conjugando el conocimiento técnico con la libertad de lo experimental, tratando de conciliar en cada lienzo lo figurativo con lo abstracto, sintetizar los opuestos, lo que se ve, con lo que no se ve, inclinándome cada vez más por capturar la escencia antes que la apariencia del contenido.

Empleando una paleta inspirada en mi entorno de tierras áridas, paleta opaca, seca, grisacea, azules y verdes complementados por rojos, luces cálidas y cremas luminosos, armonizando composiciones a placer con trazos gruesos en negro y a mano alzada, rápidos, a veces violentos cuando combato mis miedos e inseguridades, colores planos en ciertos elementos y fondos, creando espacios amplios y abstractos que conviven y se integran en armonía con los elementos figurativos.

Naturalmente y en gran medida, mi técnica y temáticas son marcadas por mis estados de ánimo, siempre buscando en la pintura una luz que disipe mi oscuridad interior, la paz que me libera de mis opresiones, que me libera de mi mismo, el descanso de mi errante y pesado caminar, el espejo de mis expresiones más íntimas, el manifiesto de un poder infinito que me fué dado sin pedirlo, la fuente de vida en la que puedo transmutar mis pensamientos más pesados en oro, y el vínculo más estrecho conmigo mismo y con el Creador.

Esta muestra comparte un mensaje de renovación y libertad ilimitada, en ella echo un vistazo atrás para conocerme, comprenderme, perdonarme, liberarme, corregir mis errores y seguir definiendo mi trabajo, mi presente y los nuevos proyectos.

Estas obras comparten también la paz que he encontrado al producirlas, en el abrazo de la luz del sol, en el crecer de la hierba, en el viento del paisaje, en la quietud, en la unión de las nubes, en el placer de vivir el presente o en los colores y movimiento en reposo de la naturaleza y de lo eterno.

“Lights, Gestures, and Other Memories” is a series that compacts and shows in essence my creative acts and their evolution in the last 5 year period in which my work has undergone determining positive changes, caused by the need to find its own language, the search for the freedom of my being, and the confidence in myself. Thus I began to explore new ways of creating hand in hand with self-knowledge, resting for a time of oil and figurativeness and experimenting with acrylic techniques and exploring abstraction, resolutions that have helped me grow creatively and experience unlimited freedom without reaching the chaos, forming a language of my own and weight to my work, combining technical knowledge with the freedom of the experimental, trying to reconcile in each canvas the figurative with the abstract, synthesizing the opposites, what is seen, with what is not seen, inclining more and more by capturing the essence before the appearance of the content.

Using a palette inspired by my arid land environment, opaque, dry, gray, gray, blue and green palette complemented by reds, warm lights and luminous creams, harmonizing compositions to pleasure with thick strokes in black and by hand raised, fast, sometimes violent when I fight my fears and insecurities, flat colors in certain elements and backgrounds, creating wide and abstract spaces that coexist and integrate in harmony with the figurative elements.

Naturally and to a great extent, my technique and themes are marked by my moods, always looking for in the painting a light that dissipates my inner darkness, the peace that frees me from my oppressions, that frees me from myself, the rest of my wandering and heavy walking, the mirror of my expressions More intimate, the manifesto of an infinite power that was given to me without asking, the source of life in which I can transmute my heaviest thoughts into gold, and the closest bond with myself and with the Creator.

This exhibition shares a message of unlimited renewal and freedom, in it I take a look back to get to know me, understand myself, forgive myself, free myself, correct my mistakes and continue defining my work, my present and the new projects.

These works also share the peace that I have found in producing them, in the embrace of the sunlight, in the growing of the grass, in the wind of the landscape, in the stillness, in the union of the clouds, in the pleasure of living the present or in the colors and movement at rest of nature and of the eternal.
