CALL FOR ENTRIES: THE BIGGEST LITTLE ART SHOW IN THE CITY

We’re setting up for our biggest (and littlest) group show to date! We’ve just announced the show (in writing), and we’ve already got over 50 pieces confirmed! We’re looking for at least 200 though. The submissions can be whatever theme you wish, as long as they follow this one simple rule: All work in this show MUST be 4″ x 4″, and ready to hang.

We’ve heard people tell us about a gallery that used to do a miniature art show each holiday season, and how they’ve missed it since that gallery closed up… so… we’re bringing the idea back again! Sounds like fun!!

We want to take this little idea, and go BIG!! For this first annual show, we’re aiming to get 100+ artists from around the world (we’ve already confirmed some from overseas…), and have the show run in December right up until Christmas. We figured this would be perfect for all you last minute Christmas shoppers looking for something unique (let’s be honest, gift cards are lame).

Submission Details

– DEADLINE: December 8th, 5:00pm
– Submission fee $20 per artist ($15 for students with valid student I.D.) Late Entries: $30
– Size: 4″ x 4″ (If framed, frame needs to be 4″x4″)
– Medium: Any (on panel, canvas, or framed)
– Quantity: As many as you’d like.
– Sales Breakdown: All work sold at $40. Artists take $30, Gallery takes $10 per sale.
– Artists will provide a sheet with thumbnail pictures of all work submitted. (So we can easily keep track of your art.)

The show will be curated by #Hashtag Gallery. Based on response, some work may not be shown if wall space runs out. Work will be sold off the wall, and replaced with work not already hung. The idea is to fill the space with high quality pieces of art, and give exposure to, and help as many artists as we can by giving them a premier gallery space in which to showcase their work.

**Unsold artwork must be picked up and removed from the gallery within 10 days of the show.
Any artwork remaining after 10 days of the show’s end date (without arrangements for pick-up) will be considered a donation and become property of Hashtag Gallery Ltd.**
