Dec 6-22: Artworks by Andrew Patterson

On December 6th #Hashtag Gallery welcomes Sheridan College alumni Andrew Patterson in his much anticipated solo show “FRACTURE”. The show features brand new works of art from this Animator/Illustrator who participated in #Hashtag Gallery’s first ever show, this past April. “The collection of works on display here are representative of a number of emotions and experiences united by a common theme: Change.”

Opening reception December 6th, 7pm-11:30pm

“SCREENPRINTING MARATHON SERIES SHOW”

Dec 27-30: Art by JP, Kamilla + Friends

The first 24-hour party in the Screenprinting Marathon series took place in the end of October and became a wondrous success! Over 40 people showed up, and more than 30 beautiful pieces of art were created within one very long and fun-filled day. Every participant had to pick out 3 random words out of a hat, which they had to use as the inspiration for the piece created. Most of the word combinations were surprisingly difficult to draw! Come and see for youself, what would you come up with if your words were ‘Bjork Muffin Beard’, ‘Ghastly Asshole Teacher’, or ‘Beer Donkey Rescue’?

#POP-UP SHOP

Dec 15, 11am-7pm

December 15th, the folks at Mindzai Creative Shop take to #Hashtag Gallery to bring their designer toys to the masses. One part shop and one part workshop, the one day pop-up will include every product from their online shop including every mini figure, prints, posters, and even some hot apparel from Bearkid, Kidrobot and more!

For the workshop, we’ll be setting up a few tables where you and your friends can come and design your own blank DIY toy including the latest from Kidrobot, the all new Micro Munny!!

We’ll be providing all the templates, markers, pencils and paints for you to create your own masterpiece!! Of course, you are welcome to bring some of your own materials like stickers or fabric as well! Anything goes!

There will be some prize giveaways for the most AWESOME designs!

We continue to open up our space to artists for a creativity session. Bring any type of work you’re working on, or nothing at all and help contribute to other works. Collaboration will be key; the aim is for artists to help other artists, as well as create an outlet for those wanting to put culture out into the world.
Bring an open mind, your skills, and any supplies you’d like to use, be it a camera, a pencil, or a monologue.

#LIFEDRAWING SESSION 6

Our #LifeDrawing is completely informal and casual in nature, whiich helps us welcome full-time artists as well as the new and curious — no talent or experience needed! Simply bring your art supplies, easels, books, or whatever you need to be creative. We’ll provide one semi-nude model and an atmosphere for inspiration and art to happen.

We’ll also have supplies available for purchase at a low cost, in the event you don’t have any.
