SEPTEMBER 6th-21st SKETCH MOTEL: “IT’S AN ILLUSTRATION SHOW”

Join us in September, as worldwide sketch group “Sketch Motel” fills the #Hashtag space with their unique styles of illustration.

Everyday we move around with our daily lives and encounter illustration at every turn, in the newspaper in the morning, the images on the cereal box, the magazine you read while sitting on the throne, the book cover on the subway ride to work, the numerous posters, billboards around the city and the hundred websites you surfed to before even getting into work. Illustration is the everyday art, commercial artwork, the communication art created by artists for clients to communicate a message, a concept for print editorial or targeted for advertising. Illustration is all around us and it’s the art that we see most.

This show features commercial illustrations and artwork from the illustrators of ‘Sketch Motel’, a collective of illustrators from all around North America whose impressive client list includes: Rolling Stones, Coca-Cola, Google, Disney, Maxim, MacWorld Magazine, National Geographic, Elle Magazine, The Harvard Business Review and the list goes on.
