AUGUST 9th-23rd DEENA PAGLIARELLO: “SHOTS OF HEROINE”

Deena brings her unique style of illustration to #Hashtag this August with her first solo show at the gallery “SHOTS OF HEROINE”:

In recent years, female protagonists have been taking on popular culture – and winning. Both producers and consumers are waking up to the fact that there is a market for strong, fleshed out females in the realms of television, film and comics. The creators of today’s heroines have taken the time to carefully consider these characters from all angles, leading to a new crowd of interesting, diverse, and relatable women in fiction. Many of these characters have huge fan bases, even outside of their target demographic. This show is a visual love letter to these heroines, and the shift in attitudes they represent.
